You can spot them by their actions, for the fruits of their character will be obvious. You won’t find sweet grapes hanging on a thorn bush, and you’ll never pick good fruit from a tumbleweed.
Matthew 7:16 TPT
But everyone who hears my teaching and does not apply it to his life can be compared to a foolish man who built his house on sand.
Matthew 7:26 TPT
Jesus speaks of men and how they live. He requires a life different than what most understand. If you choose to live without applying the words of Jesus this is what we will inherit: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into heaven’s kingdom. It is only those who persist in doing the will of my heavenly Father.”
Matthew 7:21 TPT
Once we allow these words to seap into our souls, we make changes that impact our character. This character change is obvious from anyone’s perspective. It is not hidden but instead bears fruit that others can pick from. It encourages others and exhibits self control. It doesn’t explode in anger.
Learn to accept one of the fruits of the spirit - self control. The Holy Spirit inside of you rewards you with this fruit - it is the sweet grapes!
And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.
Matt 11:12
Violence attacks the character of a man that does the will of God. Whether the violence erupts externally or within once’s heart, the Kingdom becomes distant when we erupt in anger. Be careful to learn how your new character is to embellish self control at such times.
Live so that others can enjoy the sweet grapes that are freely picked from you. The Holy Spirit that erupts from within provides an abundance of these grapes. Allow this to change your character for all to enjoy.
