In reality, the truth of God is known instinctively, for God has embedded this knowledge inside every human heart. Opposition to truth cannot be excused on the basis of ignorance, because from the creation of the world, the invisible qualities of God’s nature have been made visible, such as his eternal power and transcendence. He has made his wonderful attributes easily perceived, for seeing the visible makes us understand the invisible. So then, this leaves everyone without excuse. Throughout human history the fingerprints of God were upon them, yet they refused to honor him as God or even be thankful for his kindness. Instead, they entertained corrupt and foolish thoughts about what God was like. This left them with nothing but misguided hearts, steeped in moral darkness.
Romans 1:19-21 TPT
Nature knows God. Man knows of God.
Every civilization has known of God, yet man is drawn to moral darkness in the same way that man is drawn toward moral clarity.
Man makes his choice. It is not a single choice but instead it is a choice made time and time again until the choices consume the man. He can choose one way or the other. Either way he is consumed ultimately as death swallows him.
Which way to turn. Day after day. The choice is there in your grasp. What will you chose today? Chose life and live in the Heavenly realm amongst beauty that is unseen until you experience joy, love and peace that awaits.
Or chose death - the thing that you can see, feel and trust in its inviting comfort that leaves such a longing for more.
Will you chase what you can see or what is unseen? You know what is unseen is real but it remains a mystery.
Death stands in front of you. It’s shape is perfect and it’s call is alluring. It is easily within your grasp and it is so very inviting. It knows your weaknesses and it plays them most effectively.
The other choice is hidden among the trees, covered by the vast vegetation that is beautiful but so difficult to understand.
This choice takes an understanding and a trust to accept. Faith is not easy when so many voices drown out it’s enticing glory. Where do these voices get their authority? This power is not good and yet it wins so very often.
Courage to turn from the voices and sing a different song will carry you to a new home, without the chains around your neck, the chains on the ankles that drag you to the abyss. The pit is close and it sucks you down.
Choices, choices.
Which choice will you make today?
