Certainty and faith

Don’t you know that God, the true judge, will grant justice to all his chosen ones who cry out to him night and day? He will pour out his Spirit upon them. He will not delay to answer you and give you what you ask for. God will give swift justice to those who don’t give up. So be ever praying, ever expecting, in the same way as the widow. Even so, when the Son of Man comes back, will he find this kind of undying faith on earth?

‭‭Luke‬ ‭18‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Jesus tells the story of a widow who seeks justice from a non Christian judge. She asks over and over, pleads and cries for justice. Even a non Christian judge gives her justice.

Jesus explains that if this happens outside of God, then we can be certain that our Father will not withhold justice from his children.

Pray, plead, cry. We are his chosen ones. Swift justice happens. It does! You can believe it, receive it.

I read recently that the opposite of faith is certainty. If something is certain, who needs faith? Yet, I believe faith develops certainty. The two become the same thing.

If you have faith, God does his part and certainty is what happens next. It takes a bit (often years) I have learned. But when it happens, it is swift and leaves no need for questions. God’s actions have no logic or explanation. Man is left in awe. Many times I have been in awe. So many that faith has taught me certainty.

What a beautiful place to be!
