A foolish woman is clamorous; She is simple, and knows nothing. For she sits at the door of her house, On a seat by the highest places of the city, To call to those who pass by, Who go straight on their way: “Whoever is simple, let him turn in here”; And as for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, “Stolen water is sweet, And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.” But he does not know that the dead are there, That her guests are in the depths of hell.

Proverbs 9:13-18 NKJV

There is a spirit named Foolish, who is boisterous and brash; she’s seductive and restless. And there she sits at the gateway to the high places, on her throne overlooking the city. She preaches to all who walk by her who are clueless as to what is happening: “Come home with me.” She invites those who are easily led astray, saying, “Illicit sex is the best sex of all. Our secret affair will be sweeter than all others.” Little do they know when they answer her call that she dwells among the spirits of the dead, and all her guests soon become citizens of hell!

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭9‬:‭13‬-‭18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The same verse. Two different perspectives. The New King James Version leaves open for interpretation what the Passion Translation lays out in graphic terms.

Foolish living in either interpretation leads to hell. The world displays foolish living at every turn. It takes great courage to reject the constant noise of the world.
